Territory and Resource Management

The domain is the map you actually play. Thirty-one provinces sit on the board, each with a controller, a territory code of F, T, and C marks, a national power, and sometimes a named pit. Conquering a neighbor is how the domain grows, and the supplies from that land are what the next march spends.

Filter the board by the clan that holds a stake, by whether the land has a pit, and sort it by national power or by the length of the territory code. The champions of Kantou were the Houjou clan, and the story is not the only place they appear: Houjou hands also rest on Saitama, Kazusa 2000, Edo, and Shikokalamity.

National power on the thirty-one rows

National power is the figure that tells you how heavy the next battle will be. Ezo and Oshu, both One Eyed holdings, are power 3. Ezo's code is FFTFC and it has no pit. Oshu's code is the longer FTFFFFTC, also with no pit. Sado jumps to power 6, code TFC, and the pit there is the Sado Gold Mine, with both the Uesugi and the Takeda listed as controllers.

The high end of the board is Redhelm, power 7, code TFC, pit Red Wall Dungeon, held by the Mouri. The low end includes Yamatai at power 1 under the Miko Union, and Shikokalamity and South Africa at power 2. Sorting by power puts Redhelm and the power-6 lands (Sado, Kairapace, Edo) at the top, which is the practical order when you are choosing the next neighbor rather than reading the map from north to south.

Shared roads and split controllers

Several provinces are not a single clan's private garden. Tokaido, power 5 and code FTC, lists Imagawa, Takeda, and Tokugawa together, and it has no pit. Edo, power 6 and code CCC, is Houjou and Takeda, with Demon City underneath. Saitama is Houjou and Takeda at power 4, code FFTT, and the pit is Sekimei's Tomb. Kazusa 2000 repeats that pair at power 3, code FFC, over the Satomi Empire.

Mikawa splits the other way: Tokugawa and the One Eyed Clan, power 4, code CFFT, pit Tokugawa's Buried Treasure. Himeji is Akashi and Mouri, power 4, code TFC, pit Tiger Pit. Battleship Nagato is Mouri and the Monster Army, power 4, code TFF, pit Bikini Outlook. A border is two clans on one province, and both names stay on that land whichever clan you are tracking.

What a conquered neighbor supplies

You conquer neighboring lands and use what they provide. On the board that provision is concrete. Owari, the Oda holding, is power 5, code FFTC, and its pit is the Miso Katsu Dungeon. Kyo, under the Ashikaga, is power 3, code TFC, with Kachi-Kachi Cave. Viper Oil Field, also Ashikaga, is power 4, code FFC, and the pit is Petroleum Pit. A mine, a cave, and an oil field are three different reasons to spend the army.

F, T, and C are the marks on each province. A longer code is not automatically a richer prize: Oshu's eight-character code sits on power 3 and no pit, while Edo's short CCC sits on power 6 and Demon City. Sort by code length when you want the long strings grouped, and sort by power when you want the fights ordered. The province you take next should answer both questions.
